Grrr... I want to team up with ya'll.

Unfortunately I will not get my computer upgraded to handle the graphics of modern games until later this month. But that time is coming soon. :-)

Recap of the Adventures of Cory and Matt - STO Style...

Matt has a gangily skinny dude that is about 9 feet tall. He is surrounded by cloned fem-bots. When he goes into battle, he farts a heavy noxious gas (I can only explain that two seconds into a battle, the area is surrounded by a rather gray mist). Numerous times, he went to sleep and I had to wake him up (died and revived).

Of course he didn't catch me hitting on his fembots and now they serve aboard my ship.

I also did a mission that had zombies and a mission where you had to repeat it three times until you got it right (stuck in a temporal anomoly, like the episode with Kelsey Grammar).

It was really fun!

Currently, Matt and I have made "ourselves" in STO and will work to progress them through the ranks together, doing each mission. We just finished the tutorial. If anyone wants to join us, feel free.

We need at least 6 and need to be in a team to set it up. We'd get to make our own fleet uniform, but I think someone has to be either a silver member or a gold member. After the initial 6 join, there is no requirement for minimal members... it could drop down.

hehehe! Its a lot of fun playing with my away team (though there is a serious side. They're mostly named after characters from my novels and short stories). We did have a lot of fun between server issues, if anyone else wants to play I'll be on again this afternoon (1pm pacific time onwards and for a while tonight (8pm pacific).

I started playing but unfortunately my old Inspiron 560 desktop with a Intel Celeron Processor makes it so choppy that it is hard to enjoy the game. I am currently in the process of saving up money to rebuild my computer with modern (non stone aged chissled out of stone POC's) components.

It's been a hot minute since I've played STO. I've got another friend of mine here locally that I rp with that plays almost religiously. He's got a lot of different high level characters going and a crazy awesome fleet escort. I need to get back on but have, until recently, lacked the internet speeds for it to be feasible. So I may look into getting back on in the near future.

o.O You dont know about Star Trek Online?

It's like War Craft or Star Wars the Old Republic. It's a online MMORPG where you start out as a lowly officer. You can free roam the galaxy in a ship designated for your rank and the race you are playing. You complete missions and level up. The higher the level the better ship you can command. As you travel from sector to sector it randomly generates a star system with it's own species and culture and when you leave it remembers it so that when you come back to that star system it's the same.

Alas I still have not joined the Star Trek Online community. I do not have a computer good enough to run games like that. My Laptop is from 2004 and still has sand and lord knows what else in it from Iraq. I'm suprised it's made it this far.

I know I'm late to join the game, but I was able to finally get Star Trek online downloaded and working on my computer. Is anyone still playing this game?
